Youth Christmas Celebration

The annual youth Christmas celebration was postponed two weeks due to weather conditions, with the new date set for Saturday, December 31. The initial cancellation was a disappointment, but in the end it was a great way to spend New Year’s Eve.

Candlelight Service

A Candlelight Christmas service was held on December 23, the Friday before Christmas. The special evening included Scripture readings by Tom Pricskett and Claudia Hansen and music from the choir, orchestra, ensembles, soloists, and the congregation.

Christmas Concert

The 2016 Christmas Concert was Sunday evening, December 18. Despite less-than-ideal weather conditions, hundreds of guests filled the sanctuary for the special occasion. The program featured the choir and orchestra, soloists, a young octet (pictured above), male quartet, children’s choir, and Scripture readings, all directed by Gary Riler.

Christmas on the Campground

Icy roads threatened to delay the opening of Christmas on the Campground 2016, but temperatures warmed up just in time to ensure safe travels from most parts of the city. The campground gates were open three hours each night from Friday to Sunday, December 9-11, and in that time more than 4,500 guests took part in this celebration of Christmas.

Senior Christmas Luncheon

The annual senior Christmas luncheon, hosted by Darrel and Debbie Lee, took place on Tuesday, December 6. Over one hundred attendees gathered in the sanctuary for prayer and then progressed to the church chapel, which was beautiful decorated for the event.
