Friday Evening Service
Prelude: Carter Luka played a bassoon solo titled “Concerto in F Major, OP. 75.”
Featured testimonies: Sam Ajayi told how he tried to receive salvation by fasting, which brought no results, but when he repented the Lord saved him. Terri Hopkins recalled a time when she told the Lord about some different repairs that needed to be made to her house, and shortly after her house flooded, and the insurance covered all those problems that had troubled her. Marcus Ewers gave thanks that the Lord answered his prayer and healed his headache the same day he prayed. Azaria Charles was thankful the Lord gave her strength during a difficult day at work and helped her complete her assignment.
First Special: The choir sang “I Stand Upon the Rock Medley.”
Last Special: David and Victoria Heintz (pictured above) sang “Little Is Much When God Is In It.”
Sermon: Steve Mixer preached from Matthew 16:24-26, emphasizing the importance of making godly choices, and instructing that a Christian must sacrifice his own desires and be obedient to God’s Word.
