Friday Evening Service

Prelude: Emmaline Worthington played “Coventry Carol” and “Go Tell It on the Mountain” on the oboe.

Featured Testimonies: Barry Morgan (pictured above) shared that he was facing a spiritual battle this past summer, but when he asked for prayer, it made a difference, and he is thankful for the support of the family of God. Donovan Ewers said he is thankful for Christmas on the Campground, and that he can be a part. Matt Hanson told how after he got saved, God gave him peace and a love for the Bible that he never had before, and he is thankful that God is in control of his life. Verna King testified that she gave her heart to God as a child, and she is thankful for all the beautiful memories of Christmases and celebrating Jesus’ birth.

First Special: The choir sang “King of the Ages.”

Last Special: Marcus Luka sang “The First Noel.”

Sermon: Chet King read Matthew 21:9-11 for his text, bringing out that Jesus came to meet people’s needs and die on the Cross. He encouraged the congregation to focus on the real meaning of Christmas, and receive what they need from God.
