Friday Evening Service

Prelude: Jon and Sam Cantrell (pictured above) performed a trumpet/trombone duet, first playing “Hallelujah, What a Savior” and then “Are You Washed?” Dan and Norman Hall followed singing “I’ve Got a New-Born Feeling.”

Featured Testimonies: Earl Phillips shared how, when he was a young man, his mother prayed for him, and conviction came upon him, causing him to pray and give his heart to the Lord. Isabella McCarville was thankful her brother helped her pray and she got saved. Russell Mathews said the Lord saved him and has kept him through school and now in the working world. Dick Mixer told how the Lord brought him into this church and saved him many years ago. Kathi Cantrell gave thanks for a Christian mother who prayed for her and became a mentor and close friend as she grew up. Imelda Nedelcu was thankful the Lord saved her when she was just a child, and said that giving her life to Him while so young was the best decision she ever made.

First Special: The choir sang “The Hallelujah Side.”

Last Special: Savannah Lee sang “I Will Rise.”

Sermon: Bob Downey preached from Luke 22:39, assuring his listeners that because of the price Jesus paid on the Cross, everyone can be saved.
