Friday Evening Service

Prelude: Brian, Marcus, and Annika Ewers (pictured above) played “There Is a Redeemer” and “Lord, I Lift Your Name on High” on their violins. Then Alicia Parker, Ashley Morgan, and Deborah Brenner sang “Great Is the Lord.”

Featured testimonies: Valerie Pricskett recounted a time when her husband drove over a piece of metal and damaged the gas tank, but they found out later that God protected them from a serious accident that occurred while they were delayed. Irina Fedosov testified that she was born in a country that experiences very cold weather, but the love of God burned brightly as she was raised in a loving Christian home. Sylvia Phillips said she was brought up in a family with eleven children, but she is thankful her parents always took time to pray with them. Faye Veenhuizen testified that God saved her when she was in high school, and He has given her victory, joy, and peace through the years.

First special: The choir sang “Wonderful Grace of Jesus.”

Last special: Butch Carey sang “Jesus, the Son of God.”

Sermon: Tom Pricskett read Numbers 21:7-8 for his text, and he encouraged the congregation to look upon Jesus, who came to set people free from their sins and give them everlasting life.
