Friday Evening Service
Prelude: Annika Ewers played a violin solo of several songs, including “Come Thou Fount” and “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name.”
Testimony: Dave Lambert read Bruce Archer’s testimony from the Gospel Pioneers series, which told how Bruce spent years as a member of the underground and committed many crimes. One day, however, he heard people from the Apostolic Faith Church testify at a street meeting. He went to their service and at the altar repented of his sins, promising God he would make full restitution, which he did with God’s help.
First Special: Dan and Cheyenna Hall (pictured) sang “Jesus Never Fails.”
Testimony: Annika Ewers expressed her gratitude that the Lord saved, sanctified, and baptized her with the Holy Ghost. She said even though she cannot come to church like she used to, God meets with her in her room and lets her know He can meet with her anywhere.
Last Special: Shelby Warberg sang “In Times Like These.”
Sermon: Roth Mom preached from Colossians 3:1-4 and 17, saying that God gives each person missions throughout his or her life—some big, some small. How one chooses to follow God’s mission will draw that person closer to God or farther away.
