Friday Evening Service
Prelude:The Moberg children each performed a piano solo: Eli played “The Time Machine,” Claire played “Volga Boatman,” and Julia played “Prelude in A Minor” by Bach.
Testimonies: Sam Ajayi thanked the Lord for the work of salvation, saying nothing compares to the joy it gives, and when you pray, God hears and answers. Debbie Lee spoke of visiting Romania ten years ago and was surprised at the progress of the beautiful churches and grounds she saw on her recent trip. Caleb Sweeney (pictured above) was thankful the Lord saved and sanctified him, helped him through college, and recently helped him find a job. Matt Hanson said he cherishes his personal relationship with the Lord and is thankful for all of God’s blessings.
First Special: The choir sang “Since I Have Been Redeemed.”
Last Special: Barry Morgan sang “Love Was When.”
Sermon: Reading from 1 Timothy 4:7-8, Trent Paulsen explained what godliness is and why it is more profitable than bodily exercise, and instructed that godliness has a lasting value both in this present life and in the life to come.
