Friday Evening Service
Prelude: Susan Anderson played a medley of “Because He Lives” and “He Lives,” and then “Frasquita Serenade” on the violin. She then accompanied Randy Kaady as he sang “It’s in My Heart.”
Featured Testimonies: Norman Burgess shared how he knelt in a hotel room in Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of twenty-six, and asked God to come in and change his life. His wife, Pauline, was thankful for how the Lord was with them several years ago when they were seriously injured in an auto accident. Dave Green gave thanks for the Lord’s help recently when he was fixing the brakes on his truck. Marlene Heintz said the Lord saved her when she was in her teens and He has continued to teach her since then.
First Special: The choir sang “Whosoever Will May Come.”
Last Special: Moriah Copko sang “I’d Rather Have Jesus.”
Sermon: Bob Downey used Psalm 91:1 for his text and encouraged everyone to get alone with the Lord, spend time with Him, and consecrate their lives to Him.
