Friday Evening Service

Prelude: Ariah Piper played “I Love You, Lord,” and “He Is Exalted” on the bassoon.

Baby Dedication: Brother Darrel read from Deuteronomy 10:6 and spoke of the importance of bringing up children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, then he led in a prayer of dedication for Westley Kristopher Witham, son of Shawn and Polina. Audrey and Nora Witham sang “Lullaby Song” followed by Shawn and Polina singing “Hand to Hold,” with Dale and Mimi Witham on guitar.

Featured Testimonies: Shawn Witham shared that the doctors had told Polina she wouldn’t be able to have children, but they chose to trust God and they now have three! Polina gave thanks for a healthy baby boy. Cassy Mathews (pictured above) told how after a smooth pregnancy, her delivery had serious complications, but many prayed for her and God has been answering. Michael Mathews was thankful for the prayers and support of the saints when Cassy was so sick.

Last Special: The choir sang “Without Him.”

Sermon: Ryan Erdmann preached from John 14:15, warning his listeners not to compromise, but to hold to the standards and commandments of the Lord.
