Friday Evening Service
Prelude: Carter Luka played a bassoon solo which included “Lyric Suite, Op 96” and “I’m Feeling Fine.”
Featured Testimonies: Sam Ajayi said when he traveled to Peru recently, he found upon arrival that he did not have his altitude medication, but he prayed and the Lord helped him not to get sick. Nolan Roby shared that soon after he was saved, while working in an orchard, his boss approached him and asked what church he attended even though he had never said anything about being a Christian. This helped him realize that it’s not only what one says, but the life lived, that has an impact. Kristi Riler was thankful for the chance to visit the Los Angeles church recently while on vacation, and also appreciated an answer to prayer when her son Jaron didn’t feel well and prayed, and the next morning he was better.
First Special: The choir sang “Happiness.”
Last Special: Kaye Montgomery (pictured above) sang “He Was There All the Time.”
Sermon: Preaching from Luke 18:1-8, Ryan Erdmann described grace and mercy, and rehearsed how God gives these undeserved gifts in various forms, including the gift of salvation.
