Friday Evening Service
Prelude: Emmaline Worthington played an oboe solo of “Immortal, Invisible.”
Featured Testimonies: Susan Baltzell expressed gratitude that she had two praying grandmothers, and now, as a grandmother herself, she has the privilege to pray for her grandchildren. Samuel Asaya said over forty years ago he met his loving Savior and he is thankful for the hope of Heaven. Kayla Ivany shared how the Lord led in an employment situation, closing one door and then opening another that was an even better opportunity. Jillian Luka mentioned praying for a friend when the Lord brought her to mind all week, and later found out the friend had a rough week yet felt the prayers of the saints lifting her up.
First Special: The choir sang “Out of His Great Love.”
Last Special: Marcus Luka (pictured above) sang “O Come to the Altar,” accompanied by his dad, Chris Luka, on the guitar.
Sermon: Bob Downey preached from Acts 22:6-9, urging all who feel the call of God to answer that call, because now is the “convenient season” to give their lives to the Lord.
