Friday Evening Youth Service

Prelude: The orchestra played “My Life Is In You, Lord,” followed by the choir singing “Let the Worshippers Arise.”

Testimonies: Tyler Green testified that God saved him on the last Sunday of Portland camp meeting. Hunter McCarville said he is thankful God has kept him from sinful habits, and he believes that God will help him get something out of special meetings. Riley Friesen thanked God for His protection while driving on the highways, including when he traveled to special meetings in Richmond, California, and the weather in the passes was not ideal. Sam Cantrell said he is thankful that God goes to work with him, and that he can call on Him anytime. Hunter Cripps said he is thankful for God’s peace even in difficult situations. Maya Nedelcu said she is thankful for her Christian heritage, and that God saved her the Sunday after youth camp when she was in the fourth grade.

First special: A young men’s group sang “In the Arms of Sweet Deliverance.”

Last special: Julianne Luka, Mackenzie Ewers, and Emmaline Worthington (pictured above) sang “Wonderful, Merciful Savior.”

Sermon: Terrance Scott, from Seattle, Washington, took his text from Genesis 6:1-8 and Hebrews 11:7, emphasizing that God’s grace provides an opportunity, but it is up to each one to take advantage and receive what God has for them.
