Friday Evening Youth Service

Prelude: The youth orchestra played “Revive Us Again.” The choir followed, singing “God Is On the Move.”

Featured Testimonies: Savannah Lee was thankful for her recent privilege to attend the Chile camp meeting where she felt blessed to fellowship with the family of God there. Jordyn Sletmoe gave God thanks for her new job and how He helped in a difficult situation. Elizabeth Buliga (pictured above) testified about a car accident close to her home where a student died; she is thankful for an assurance that she is ready for Heaven. Jamie Sifagaloa told how God recently affirmed His promise to deliver her from all of her fears, providing comfort when she feels anxious. McKenzie Sletmoe was thankful for an opportunity to share her testimony with her former employer who also accepted her invitation to attend Bible study.

First Special: Emmaline and Mikayla Worthington and Victoria Heintz sang “In Christ Alone.”

Last Special: A young men’s group sang “Come Unto Jesus.”

Sermon: Peter Sletmoe, from Grants Pass, Oregon, used Lamentations 3:24 for his text, where Jeremiah proclaimed, “The Lord is my portion…therefore will I hope in him.” Brother Peter said that everyone can find hope and God’s abundant portions at the altar of prayer.
