Friday Evening Youth Service

Prelude: The orchestra played “Hallelujah (Your Love Is Amazing),” followed by the choir singing “Boundless Love.”

Featured testimonies: Katia Fedosov said the Saturday night sermon during the West Coast Youth Challenge made her realize she needed a greater hunger for God. Amanda Friesen testified that she recently got a job that allows her to attend church regularly. Riley Friesen said that being away at college has challenged him to make sure he knows what he believes and why, and has helped him grow in his walk with God. Julianne Luka said that God worked it out for her to attend the youth challenge, and the sermon on Saturday helped her realize she needs to put her main focus on God. Carter Luka said he was really nervous about a speech he was asked to give at school, but he prayed and his teacher told him it was the best speech he has ever given. Trent Paulsen testified that it was a privilege to attend the youth challenge and see young people who were eager to learn more about God and seek His will in their lives.

First special: A girls’ group (pictured above) sang a medley of “Nothing but the Blood” and “O the Blood of Jesus.”

Last special: Shelby Warberg, Victoria Worthington, and Savannah Lee sang “This Is My Father’s World.”

Sermon: Ryan Erdmann read 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 for his text, bringing out that God wants Christians to rejoice at all times, regardless of their circumstances.
