Sunday Evening Ordinance Service

Prelude: Janice Calhoun and Sungun Yune played a piano/organ duet of several songs including “There Is a Fountain,” “Calvary’s Stream is Flowing,” and “There’s Room at the Cross for You.” The choir followed with “I Plead the Blood.”

Last Special: Butch Carey sang “Beyond Understanding.”

Lord’s Supper Sermon: Bob Downey brought the message, taken from 1 Corinthians 11:23-30, and spoke of this special, solemn time remembering Christ’s sacrifice. He said it is a time just for the family of God – those who have had Jesus’ Blood applied to their lives.

Foot Washing Sermon: John Musgrave used John 13:2-17 for his text, rehearsing the lesson in humility that Christ showed His disciples in washing their feet. He instructed those present that true happiness is found in following Christ’s example.

Final Music: Gary Riler led everyone in some well-loved Sunday school songs (pictured above: young men singing enthusiastically). Then a men’s quartet sang “Canaan Land Is Just in Sight” and Victoria Heintz sang “Peace in the Valley” as the final song.
