Sunday Evening Service

Prelude: A trombone quartet played “I’d Rather Have Jesus,” “Glory to His Name,” and “A New Name in Glory.” The choir sang “Boundless Love.”

Featured Testimonies: Deborah Brenner shared how she was saved as a child, but when she was in college she had her own plans for her life that weren’t God’s plans. She is thankful that He drew her back to Him and saved her again, and later sanctified her and baptized her. Cheyenna Hall said that recently the Lord showed her she needed to be saved again, so she told her parents and prayed and the Lord saved her once more – she is thankful He is always with her. Randy Baltzell told how the Lord saved him at the age of eighteen. When he was in college and hungry for more of God, he received sanctification in his car between classes, and later was baptized with the Holy Spirit during camp meeting.

First Special: Cheyenna and Darla Hall and Deborah Brenner sang “Gotta Get to Jesus.”

Last Special: Arthur Ruiz sang “His Life for Mine.”

Sermon: Bob Downey (pictured above) preached from 2 Chronicles 7:14, describing what happens when individuals experience a spiritual awakening: souls are saved, lives are changed, “lukewarm” Christians get serious about the Gospel, and people have a hunger to seek the Lord.
