Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: The brass played “Brethren, We Have Come to Worship” and “Glory Bound Medley.” A young people’s octet (pictured above) then sang “Soul on Fire” with “Revive Us Again.”
Featured Testimonies: Justin Green said he is thankful for how his faith has grown since he was saved, and he has confidence that God will take care of needs in his life. Yosady Baltzell said that God led her to an outdoor service at the Apostolic Faith Church in the Bronx, New York, and saved her soul, and she is thankful for how He is working in her life. Deborah Brenner said she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit twelve years ago, and she is thankful for how her deeper experiences have established her in the Gospel. Sherri Buckland testified that after she was encouraged to come to Sunday school, she began studying her lesson each week to please her teacher, and the Lord saved her the following camp meeting.
First Special: The choir sang “I’ve Got That Old Time Religion in My Heart.”
Last Special: Christi Larrechea sang “The Well.”
Sermon: Erik Calhoun read Isaiah 53:5-6 for his text, and brought out that the fifty-third chapter of Isaiah describes the eternal work Jesus accomplished at Calvary, bringing hope for all who will surrender to Him.
