Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: Shawn Worthington played an organ solo of “Just a Closer Walk with Thee,” “Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above,” and “Every Time I Feel the Spirit.” The choir then sang “He Is the King.”
Featured Testimonies: Debbie Lee, from Roseburg (pictured above), shared how as a young woman she had tried to make her life better by attempting to quit bad habits, but her efforts only lasted for a time. However, when the Lord saved her on June 5, 1977, her life truly changed forever. Caleb Copko testified that as a teenager, he had been pretending to be a Christian, but shortly before his eighteenth birthday he finally got honest with the Lord. When he prayed by his parents’ bedside, the Lord saved him. Irina Fedosov said when she and her husband were driving home from church recently, the car in front of them hit an oncoming vehicle, flipped over, and was sliding toward them, but the Lord protected them. Phil Wong was thankful that although he didn’t grow up in a Christian home, he heard the message of salvation for the first time when he was twenty one, and soon after that the Lord saved him.
First Special: A mixed quartet sang “Whenever We Agree Together.”
Last Special: Kristi Riler sang “The River.”
Sermon: Harlan Lee from Roseburg, Oregon, preached from Acts 26:27-28, urging his listeners not to hold back but to give God everything, and experience a defining moment that will change their lives.
