Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: The Serenaders played “What Child Is This?” along with “Joy to the World” and “I Saw Three Ships.”
Testimony: Erin Green (pictured above) said she is thankful that God saved her when she was nine years old. Throughout her life she has been able to serve God in a variety of ways, including being a mom and teaching her children about Him. Last year, she and her family moved to a new home, and God has provided opportunities for them to witness to their neighbors.
First Special: Darla and Cheyenna Hall, Deborah Brenner, and Kailyn McKay sang “It’s About the Cross.”
Testimony: Matt Hansen said that as a child, he went to church on Christmas Day and sang the songs, but knew something was missing in his life. When he realized that he could have Jesus living in his heart, he prayed and God gave him real peace. Now he can enjoy the true meaning of Christmas more fully.
Last Special: Dan Hall and Deborah Brenner sang “Mystery.”
Sermon: Gary Riler took his text from Galatians 4:4-7 and brought out that many look at Christmas as a time of peace, but do not realize that true peace can only come through fully surrendering to Jesus and being adopted into God’s family.
