Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: The orchestra played “There’s Something About that Name” and “Rejoice! Rejoice!” The choir sang “Come, Christians, Join to Sing,” accompanied by the orchestra.
Featured Testimonies: Kristi Riler said she has been having problems with the hearing in one of her ears but was thankful the Lord helped her Saturday as she accompanied soloists and ensembles for a contest. Amanda Lesher mentioned a difficult health challenge she has been dealing with, but said the Lord has been with her through it all. Tim Hammer was excited to report how the Lord has been giving him courage to share the Gospel with others. Amanda Riler gave thanks for God’s help in times of anxiety.
First Special: Imelda Nedelcu, Michael McCarville, and Kristi Riler (pictured above) sang “Goodbye, World, Goodbye.”
Last Special: Christina Larrechea sang “Captivate Us.”
Sermon: Jack Chasteen, pastor in Chehalis, Washington, used Zechariah 4:1-7 for his text, speaking of the importance of the Holy Spirit in Christians’ lives for them to be effective witnesses for Christ.
