Sunday Evening Service

Prelude: A string quartet of John and Jennifer Buss and Matt and Claudia Hansen played “Sweet Hour of Prayer” and “Nearer My God to Thee.” Jim Ott joined the strings with his oboe and played “Gabriel’s Oboe.” The choir followed, singing “Wonderful Love…Matchless Grace.”

Featured Testimonies: Barry Morgan gave thanks for being raised in a Christian home, and said his personal decision to follow the Lord has served him well throughout his life. Chris Luka praised God for delivering him sixteen years ago from his burden of sin and replacing it with many blessings. Dan Hall told how blessed he was to be raised in a Christian home and is thankful he too made a decision to follow the Lord, knowing that decision has spared him from much trouble. Shawn Worthington gave thanks for his godly mother who has always been an encouragement to him, also for his wife and the blessing of raising their family in the Gospel. Brad Mathews also gave thanks for his mom and the valuable lessons she taught him.

First Special: A men’s quartet sang “Leave Your Heavy Burdens at the Cross.”

Last Special: Christina Larrechea sang “There Is a River.”

Sermon: Erik Calhoun read Philippians 2:9-11 for his text and said everything a person needs can be received through Jesus’ Name, including healing, salvation, and deliverance from doubt, fears and confusion.
