Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: Brian, Annika, and Marcus Ewers played “As the Deer” with “My Faith Looks Up to Thee” and “Find Us Faithful,” on their violins.
Scripture reading: Dave Lambert read Matthew 6:25-33.
Special: Shawn Worthington and David Heintz sang “Hallelujah, We Shall Rise.”
Testimonies: Shawn Worthington told of sharing with his children what it really means to have the Gospel in your heart. He went through some challenging times while attending college but the Lord was his strength and help. He could say with confidence that God is real and answers prayer.
Special: Jennifer and Emmaline Worthington and Victoria Heintz sang “Unclouded Day.”
Testimony: Jennifer Worthington gave thanks that the Lord is just a whispered prayer away during these very unusual times. In the last couple of weeks, she has been working at a new job, which proved challenging last Thursday. She prayed and asked others to pray too, and the next day at work was her best one yet. She is grateful that the Lord is with her and proves true each day.
Special: A Worthington/Heintz quartet sang “The Time Is Now.”
Sermon: Clark Wolfe used Genesis 1:1-3 for his text and gave several Biblical examples of God’s plan at work. He assured his listeners that when circumstances seem troubling, Christians can follow God’s plan and have confidence that things will work out for the best.
Special: Annika Ewers and Emmaline Worthington (pictured above) sang “Lamb of God.”
