Sunday Evening Service

Prelude: Brian and Jane Ewers played “Amazing Grace” and “Love Divine, All Loves Excelling” on their violins. Ashley and Caitlyn Morgan and Victoria Worthington sang “How Can I Keep from Singing?”

Featured Testimonies: Dave Green spoke about landmarks in his life, including when he received salvation, sanctification, and the baptism, as well as when the Lord provided for his family when money was tight. Tom Pricskett shared how the Lord brought the truth of the Gospel his way and saved him, and since then has blessed his life. Dick Mixer was thankful that many years ago a young woman invited him to church and, although he was not interested at first, eventually he came and the Lord saved him. Chet King (pictured above) said he realized after getting out of the service that he was not a Christian, and by coming to church he saw the young people had what he wanted so he gave his heart to the Lord. Mark Worthington told how the Lord answered prayer for him when he was in the service, causing a stolen typewriter to be returned to him undamaged, which was a real testimony to those around him.

First Special: The choir sang “He Is to Me.”

Last Special: Shelby Warberg sang “Be Still My Soul.”

Sermon: Gary Riler preached from Hebrews 6:17-19, using the analogy of an anchor to describe one’s hope in God and His balance of love and justice.
