Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: Sam Cantrell played “Be Thou My Vision” and “Goodbye, World, Goodbye” on the trombone. Dan, Candy, and Norman Hall followed by singing “Feeling at Home in the Presence of Jesus.”
Featured Testimonies: Cliff Paulsen spoke of the summer he turned fourteen, when he gave his heart to the Lord. Justin Green (pictured above) was thankful for the privilege to attend the recent Peru camp meeting, and said the Lord showed him that the Gospel works no matter where you are. Duane Wilson gave thanks for the prayers of the saints when facing challenges in life. Norman Hall expressed appreciation for the peace and joy the Lord put in his heart at salvation and for the Lord’s keeping power.
First Special: The choir sang “He Ransomed Me.”
Last Special: Caleb Copko sang “Mercy Walked In.”
Sermon: Reading from Romans 10:8-11, and also referencing the parable of the Sower and the Seed, Dwight Baltzell spoke of the importance of faith, explaining that if one has good soil, or a believing heart, when the seed of truth gets into that soil, beautiful things will happen.
