Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: The orchestra played “My Faith Has Found a Resting Place,” “There’s Room at the Cross” and “Heaven Medley.” A men’s quartet then sang “When We All Get Together with the Lord.”
Featured Testimonies: Becky Lepisto (pictured above) was thankful that at fifteen years of age, she received the gift of God’s salvation. Later, God sanctified and baptized her and He has held her in a good place since then. Phil Wong said he always wanted to know the true God, but wasn’t sure which God that was. However, through the love of the saints in our San Francisco church, he found the True God and was saved. April Rudolph told how she depends upon God’s Word to give her victory when doubts come. Rosemary Worthington testified that when she was sixteen years old, she told the Lord “I give You everything,” and God saved her and gave her strength to live a Christian life at school.
First Special: The choir sang “Battlefield (Medley).”
Last Special: Victoria Worthington sang “A Living Prayer.”
Sermon: Nolan Roby read Isaiah 9:6-7 which is a prophecy about how God would send His Son into this world to save sinners, and then stated that this was God’s greatest deed for man’s greatest need, and God’s love continues to shine through Jesus Christ to mankind today.
