Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: Andrea Gaston played “Blessed Be Your Name,” “Blessed Quietness,” and “What a Friend We Have in Jesus,” on the cello.
Testimony: Randy Kaady shared how he used to have terrible canker sores in his mouth as well as frequent severe sore throats. This went on throughout his life, but when he was in his forties, God healed him and he has not had trouble with those afflictions for the last sixteen years.
First Special: Brad, Delores, and Russell Mathews sang “I’ll Be with Thee.”
Testimony: Sister Delores (pictured above) gave thanks for God’s protection when her family was kayaking recently. As they headed across the lake back toward their departure point, a strong wind picked up, making it dangerous for their small crafts, but God brought them safely to shore.
Last Special: Brother Randy sang “The Great Judgment Morning” with “God’s Final Call.”
Sermon: Greg Bishop, from Chehalis, Washington, preached from Isaiah 26:3-4, instructing his listeners not to fear but to trust God in the storms of life. God is present in the storms and gives perfect peace.
