Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: A trombone ensemble played “He Will Carry You” and “Keep on the Firing Line.”
Testimony: Deborah Brenner (pictured above) recounted her experience of sanctification, remembering how she earnestly sought for that experience though she wondered how she would know when it happened. When the Lord did sanctify her, she felt His power purge her heart in a powerful way, making her clean. Without a doubt, she knew what the Lord had done.
First Special: Rob, Alicia, and Henry Parker sang “Unclouded Day.”
Testimony: Brother Rob said that as a child, the Christian examples surrounding him spoke to his young heart, yet he wasn’t sure he was right with God. On several occasions he thought the Rapture had taken place and was so fearful. However, when he was fifteen, the Lord saved his soul and took away his fear, giving him peace.
Last Special: Sister Deborah sang “People Need the Lord.”
Sermon: Erik Calhoun preached from Mark 11:22-24, where Jesus spoke the words, “Have faith in God.” Brother Erik shared important keys for having faith, including forgiving others.
