Sunday Evening Service

A string quartet with oboe played “For the Beauty of the Earth,” “Redeemed,” and “Winter by Vivaldi.” The choir then sang “Redeemed,” with brass accompaniment.

Featured testimonies: Hunter McCarville testified that he got his driver’s license a week ago, and he is thankful for God’s protection. Ann McCarville said she is thankful God called her before she went too far into sin, and for how real the experiences of sanctification and the baptism of the Holy Spirit have been in her life. Dwight Baltzell appreciates the testimonies he heard growing up about how real God is, and that he experienced it for himself when he surrendered his life at age eighteen. Erin Green shared how she and her husband, along with their eight-month-old daughter, were privileged to attend the Peru camp meeting. Duane Wilson said that recently his blood pressure was very high, but he prayed and for the past several weeks, his blood pressure has been good.

First special: Michael, Ann, and Hunter McCarville sang “Shout to the Lord.”

Last special: Victoria Worthington sang “Different.”

Sermon: Steve Mixer took his text from Luke 4:16-21, and encouraged the congregation to receive a fresh glimpse of Jesus and have faith in His promises.
