Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: A trumpet trio played “Lead Me to Calvary” and “I Know Whom I Have Believed.”
Testimony: Kaye Montgomery shared how the Lord saved her and her husband when they were a young married couple. Later, when her youngest son was a senior in high school, she injured her back. After getting prayed for at Portland camp meeting, she felt the Lord touch her, but the doctor said she still needed surgery. She kept her trust in the Lord, and a few weeks later when the doctor ran another test, the problem was gone.
First Special: A Parker/Lee family quartet (pictured above) sang “This World Is Not My Home.”
Testimony: Donna Copko said she is thankful that when she asked God to show her that she was truly saved, He changed her heart and made it real. She also mentioned that when she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, she was reassured to know that a woman praying near her understood what she was saying in the German language.
Last Special: Peter Moberg sang “Oh, I Want to Know You More.”
Sermon: Larry Montgomery read Matthew 19:24-26 for his text, bringing out that with God all things are possible, and He still answers prayer for those who reach out to Him in faith.
