Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: Susan Anderson played a violin solo of “Peace, Peace,” “From the Canebrake Op 5, No. 1,” and “Jesus, Rose of Sharon.” The choir then sang “God Says You’re Gonna Make it.”
Featured Testimonies: Deborah Brenner was thankful for how the Spirit of God has worked in her life to draw her closer to Jesus. Duane Wilson said 2017 was a difficult year with health issues, the loss of a loved one, and then financial concerns, but God was with his family through it all. Carter Luka was thankful God saved him the first Friday of April last year. Rodica Musgrave told how she has had life-long respiratory challenges because of childhood whooping cough, but God’s grace has been sufficient, and in January this year, as she was praying, God healed her.
First Special: Deborah Brenner and Ashley and Ellen Morgan sang “I’ve Just Started Living.”
Last Special: Peter Moberg (pictured above) sang “Untitled Hymn (Come to Jesus).”
Sermon: Steve Mixer read Acts 7:48-50 and spoke about how Stephen’s sermon in this passage recounted Israel’s history with God. Brother Steve told his listeners that God has been involved in the personal history of every person, and it is important that each one can point to a time when they surrendered to His plans and purposes.
