Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: Jane Ewers played a violin solo of “Somebody’s Praying for You” and “The Holy City.” The choir followed, singing “We Cry Hosanna, Lord.”
Featured Testimonies: Denise Macomber shared how her grandmother was faithful to bring her to Sunday school and pray for her when she was a child, and at the age of eighteen she gave her heart to the Lord. Much has happened since then, and now she is a grandmother who desires to help her family follow the Lord too. Carol Englund was thankful for God’s help and protection when her husband had heart surgery recently in a different city and they had to do a lot of travelling. Chet King told of the change God made in his life when he finally surrendered to Him as a young man just back from war in Vietnam.
First Special: Deborah Brenner and Ashley Morgan sang “My God Is Real.”
Last Special: Caleb Copko sang “On Eagle’s Wings.”
Sermon: Using Luke 11:9-13 as his text, Clark Wolfe encouraged his listeners to press in, consecrate their lives to God, and receive all He has for them.
