Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: Gary Riler played a saxophone solo of “Jesus Loves Me” and “Praise to the Lord.” Jennifer Worthington and Victoria Heintz following by singing “Light from Heaven.”
Featured Testimonies: Ethel Hodson told how their family moved to Portland in 1948, and even though she did not totally understand the Gospel, God wonderfully saved her and has kept her since then. Chet King (pictured above) praised the Lord for saving him fifty years ago and spoke of the good memories he has of being on the campground. Arnold Amundson honored his father by telling how after his dad was saved, he began making restitutions, which made an impression on the employers he had stolen from. Mikayla Worthington was thankful that God protected her while driving recently, and said she finds it amazing how God watches over each person.
First Special: The choir sang “A New Name in Glory.”
Last Special: Christie Larrechea sang “I Am.”
Sermon: Randy Baltzell used Romans 12:1-2 for his text and encouraged everyone to bring not only burdens and needs to God, but also good things, because God makes everything—good and bad—better.
