Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: The orchestra played “There’s Room at the Cross” and “What a Mighty God (Medley).” A men’s quartet then sang “Promises One by One.”
Featured Testimonies: Rosemary Charles said that about seven years ago she was diagnosed with cancer, but today she is well and through the experience God drew her closer to Himself. Francis Odudu rejoiced that this past year the Lord answered a prayer that he and his wife had been praying, and saved two of their children who are now Gospel workers and attending camp meeting with them. Robert Ruiz said his family had two months of pain and stress before coming to camp meeting, but he thanked God for joy in his heart. Adebayo Adeniran declared that God touched him after he had a stroke last year, and now he is “fit as a fiddle.” Ernest Marshall shared how the Lord saved him in 1976 in Busan, Korea, where he was stationed as a serviceman. Maruita Kupoluyi told how God protected her during a hurricane last year in the Virgin Islands, giving her peace through it all.
First Special: The choir sang “Joy in My Heart,” with Deborah Brenner as soloist.
Last Special: Randy Kaady sang “The Great Judgment Morning” with “We Shall Behold Him.”
Sermon: Joey Ruiz (pictured above), pastor in La Union, Philippines, gave the message from Malachi 3:14-17, exhorting the congregation to always do their best for God in the small tasks as well as the big ones.
