Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: Kristi Riler, Deborah Brenner, and Darla Hall (pictured above) played a woodwind trio of “The Old Rugged Cross Made the Difference” and “I believe in a Hill Called Mount Calvary.” The same ladies then sang “My Faith Still Holds.”
Featured Testimonies: Uvi Chavez rejoiced that the Lord saved him on the previous Thursday. Azaria Charles gave thanks for God’s help and protection recently when she and a friend were on the way to a wedding and their car broke down in a remote area. Amanda Riler was thankful the Lord saved her this year and led her to a job watching the children of a Christian family. Kaye Montgomery said when she poured her heart out to God as a young woman in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, He changed her heart and filled her with happiness.
First Special: The choir sang “I’m Saved Medley.”
Last Special: Azaria Charles sang “Near the Cross.”
Sermon: Larry Montgomery preached from Job 2:1-3, asserting that Christians will have trials but with God’s help they can be more than conquerors.
