Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: A trombone sextet played “All He Wants Is You” and “Down At the Cross.” Following this, a men’s quartet sang “Heaven’s Jubilee.”
Featured Testimonies: Jane Ewers (pictured above) told how the Lord saved her just before she turned ten years old, and has answered many prayers for her since then. Dick Mixer was thankful for the day he gave his life to the Lord, and said God has given him a blessed life. Caleb Copko testified that God saved him a few weeks before his eighteenth birthday, and he believes it is worth it to serve Him. Darrel Lee shared how the Lord baptized him with the Holy Spirit on the last Monday of January in 1975.
First Special: The choir sang “Southern Gospel Medley.”
Last Special: Shelby Warberg and Savannah Lee sang “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.”
Sermon: Dave Lambert preached from 2 Kings 5:1-3 and 5-7, giving five lessons that can be learned from Naaman which included: 1. No one is immune from the trials of life; 2. Never minimize the power of a personal testimony; 3. A person's own resources are limited and powerless; 4. It is important to respond with humility and obedience. 5. Understanding always follows obedience.
