Sunday Evening Service
Prelude: Janice Calhoun and Sungun Yune played a piano/keyboard duet of “Jesus Loves Me” with “Clair de Lune,” and “Heaven and Home Medley.” A young people’s octet (pictured above) then sang “Power of Your Love.”
Featured Testimonies: Dave Stehlik testified that his wife had been in the hospital for twelve days with kidney failure, but they saw the hand of God come through, and everything is fine. Joseph Marincus shared that in the past he was diagnosed with cancer, and surgery was recommended. Doctors said this could give him another two years to live, but he decided to remain in God’s hands and pray for healing, and God has extended his life almost ten years now. Carol Englund told how she was raised in a church that taught that everyone sins, and she struggled with living a victorious life. However, she was finally able to trust God and found that He is faithful and can keep you if you want to be kept.
First Special: The choir sang “Heaven’s Jubilee.”
Last Special: Gary Wolfe and Butch Carey sang “Willing to Take the Cross.”
Sermon: John Musgrave read from Luke 18:18 and admonished Christians to keep up proper spiritual maintenance by being consistent and persistent in prayer.
