Sunday Morning Service
Prelude: Shyla Piper (pictured above) played a clarinet solo of “My Shepherd Will Supply My Need” and “The Promised Land,” accompanied by Janice Calhoun on the piano.
Scripture Reading: Darrel Lee read John 1:1-4, 10-14.
Special: A Luka family quartet sang “Revelation 19.”
Testimony: Chris Luka shared how the Lord saved him from a backslidden condition when he was in his twenties, and has kept him since then. He rejoiced that this past week he was able to listen to Gospel music while working over a barbecue pit, and the Lord came down and blessed him.
Special: Jillian and Julianne Luka sang “Till the Storm Passes By.”
Scripture Reading: Darrel Lee read Jeremiah 32:36-40.
Special: Butch Carey sang “What a Healing Jesus.”
Sermon: Dave Lambert took his text from Ecclesiastes 12:13 and explained that there are good and bad types of fear, but Christians should be motivated by the fear of God and not fears caused by man or circumstances.
Special: Julianne Luka sang “I Surrender All.”
