Sunday Morning Service
Prelude: Janice Calhoun played “My Tribute” and “Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam” on the piano.
Feature Testimony: Tim DeBusk, visiting from Chehalis, Washington, said he was raised in a Christian home. However, at age seventeen he went to work in a logging camp in Alaska, and began a sinful lifestyle. He thought that getting away from his Christian upbringing would bring happiness, but instead it brought shame and a heavy heart. Eventually he returned home and prayed at church, and God saved him. That brought the happiness he had been looking for, and he is still rejoicing in the Gospel today, many years later.
Special: Michael and Ann McCarville (pictured above) sang “We’ll Understand It Better By and By,” accompanied by Susan Anderson on the violin.
Scripture reading: Darrel Lee read Hebrews 1:1-4.
Special: Christi Larrechea sang “Consider the Lilies,” accompanied by Jillian Luka playing the cello.
Sermon: Dave Lambert preached from Hebrews 1:1-2, saying God has always desired fellowship with man. God uses many methods to communicate His love and His offer of salvation because He wants to see each one succeed.
