Sunday Morning Service
Prelude: Rosie Lambert played “All Creatures of Our God and King” with “Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring” and “Seekers of Your Heart” on the piano.
Testimony: Mimi Witham testified that she grew up in the Communist country of Romania, and her family’s dream of coming to the United States and worshiping God freely became a reality in 1978. She was fourteen years old when she moved to America, but she still remembers some of the limitations the Communist government imposed, including the ability to have church services. She told how her grandfather had been wealthy but the Communist government took most of his possessions, and he was later put in prison for being a minister of the Gospel. At one point, God intervened and kept him from being killed in a firing line. Sister Mimi said that when she first came to America, she did not know any English, but she could feel the Spirit of God in the church services even if she could not understand the language. She is so thankful for how God has been there in every situation, and for how He has guided her life.
First Special: Imelda and Maya Nedelcu and Mimi Witham sang “Let My Light Shine.”
Scripture Reading: Tom Pricskett read 2 Kings 5:1-10.
Last Special: Mimi Witham (pictured above) sang “In the Twinkling of an Eye.”
Sermon: Dave Lambert read 2 Kings 5:1 and 10-14 for his text. He brought out that humility and obedience will bring the victory for those who are seeking God for a need in their lives.
