Thursday Bible Teaching

Prelude: Olamide, Olamiposi, and Olamidipupo Oso played a string trio of Vivaldi’s “Spring (La Primavera)” and “Blessed Assurance.” Then, Imelda and Maya Nedelcu sang “Your Name” accompanied by Andrea Gaston on the guitar.

Featured Testimonies: Lordick Motshidisi (pictured above) said he tried to run away from the questions he had about God, but God kept calling after him until he prayed and was saved. Barbara McCormick said she received salvation seventy-one years ago after a Sunday school teacher shared the Gospel message with her family. Jeeyae Koo Park said Jesus is a constant companion who always hears her prayers. Elizabeth Sobowale praised God for sparing her life recently when a bomb went off at a bus stop she had just left. Kemi Taiwo praised God for recently healing her when she fell off a bike and twisted her knee. Florence Apara thanked God for salvation, sanctification, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost. She said God changed her heart and directs her path.

First Special: A ladies' sextet from Dallas, Oregon, sang “There Is None Like You.”

Last Special: Tony Ademuyiwa sang “Follow Me.”

Sermon: John Musgrave preached on the office of the Holy Spirit beginning with Acts 1:4-8, and said that just as a car was designed to run on fuel, Christians were designed by God to be powered by the Holy Spirit.
