Tuesday Evening Service
Prelude: Gracie Qualls played a piano solo, “Hallelujah, Praise Ye the Lord” and “When the Saints Go Marching In.” Then Francesca and Ty Mom played a violin duet, “Blessed Assurance,” with Jaewon Yune accompanying on the piano. The prelude ended with Mark and Shawn Worthington (pictured above) singing “God’s Wonderful People.”
Featured testimonies: Mark Worthington testified that he felt God calling him to be a minister while he was seeking for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and when he finally yielded to God’s call, he felt the power of God fill his soul. Zelma Pierce recounted that Rosemary Worthington, along with her mother and her niece, shared the Gospel with her when she was nineteen years old, and after being saved during camp meeting that year, she has enjoyed forty-seven years of victory. Katia Fedosov testified that she was nervous about a quiz at school, but God helped her and she got a hundred percent.
First special: The choir sang “When We All Get to Heaven.”
Last special: Arthur Ruiz sang a medley of “Surely the Presence” and “He Is Here.”
Sermon: Bob Downey took his text from Deuteronomy 2:1-3, and encouraged the congregation to grow in their Christian walks by overcoming the spiritual mountains that come their way.
