Tuesday Evening Service

Prelude: Julianne Luka (pictured above) played four pieces on the viola: “People Need the Lord,” “His Eye Is On the Sparrow,” “A Mansion Over the Hilltop,” and “I’ll Fly Away.”

Featured Testimonies: Naomi Buliga thanked the Lord for saving her on Saturday during the special meetings youth activities. Dave Luka said it was such a blessing when one of his grandchildren called and said she had asked Jesus into her heart, and it is also a blessing to see his grandchildren using their musical talents for the Lord during church services. Arthur Ruiz testified that three years ago, he came to Portland wondering if he should move here, and the Lord gave him an assurance. He said it feels good to know that he is at the center of God’s will.

First Special: The choir sang “Love Lifted Me.”

Last Special: Marcus Luka sang “The Letter.”

Sermon: Steve Mixer took his text from Joshua 1:6-8, and said that just as God encouraged and strengthened Joshua when he was called to lead the Israelites after the death of Moses, He will encourage Christians today in whatever they are called to do.
