Tuesday Evening Service

Prelude: Rebecca Luka played “A New Name in Glory” and a classical piece on her flute. A group of children from the Hopkins family (pictured above) then sang “Jesus Loves Me.”

Featured Testimonies: Debbie Lee gave thanks for those that encouraged her throughout her life, including Don Wolfe during four years of high school choir. Erik Calhoun also expressed appreciation for some of the older saints, mentioning Don Wolfe who encouraged him to take up bassoon and Larry Montgomery who prayed with him when he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Nolan Roby told how he had an opportunity to share the Gospel with a gentleman while shopping at the store, assuring him that you can know when the Lord saves you!

First Special: The choir sang “Such Love.”

Last Special: Jennifer Worthington and Kaye Montgomery sang “Gentle, Ever Sweet.”

Sermon: Roth Mom used Jonah 1:1-3 for his text and spoke of the importance of trusting the Lord and how obedience brings God’s blessing and peace.
