Tuesday Evening Service

Prelude: A brass ensemble played “Beulah Land” and “Sound the Battle Cry.” Then a mixed sextet sang “Heavenly News.”

Featured Testimonies: Jill Anderson (pictured above) said that when she was first saved, the song “It Is Well with My Soul” was often on her mind, and through the ups and downs of life, she is thankful that she can still say it is well with her soul. Ian Anderson stated that ever since he was saved at the age of fourteen, he has always wanted to follow God, and he is thankful he can serve the Lord with Jill, and raise their children in the same Gospel they were raised in. Ann McCarville shared that physical challenges and events in the world were causing her to feel a little down, but when she considered the Lord’s blessings and the fact that this world is not her home, her spirits were lifted. Harvey Knight testified that he recently thought about the song “Be Thou My Vision,” and when the choir sang it on Sunday morning, it touched his heart. Janet Downs said she is thankful she has been able to raise her boys in the same Gospel she was raised in, and to teach them the right way to go.

First Special: The choir sang “I Am Blessed" medley.

Last Special: Randy Baltzell sang “The River.”

Sermon: Dave Lambert, pastor in Woodlake, California, took his text from John 20:24-29, bringing out that true faith is trusting God before the answer comes.
