Wednesday Evening Service

Prelude: A trombone ensemble played “I’d Rather Have Jesus” and “Wonderful Words of Life.” Then a men’s choir sang “Water from the Rock” with Marcus Luka as soloist.

Featured Testimonies: Shelby Warberg testified that she was saved at nine years old, and she is thankful for friends from church and also family members who encourage her. Michael McCarville said he is thankful for the volunteer musicians who participate in the Lord’s work, and for all the church workers who take time to teach his children and encourage others. Ethel Hodson said that her family has experienced some challenging health issues in the past year, but God has been there to help. Lee Spakousky (pictured above) said that at the age of sixteen he surrendered his life to Jesus, and he is thankful for all the blessings God has bestowed on his life, including forty-six years of marriage with his wife.

First Special: Shelby Warberg, Diana Lambert, and Michael McCarville sang “Blood-Washed Pilgrim.”

Last Special: Peter Moberg sang “Rock of Ages.”

Sermon: Donald Fittin, visiting from Van Buren, Arkansas, took his text from Matthew 13:44, and spoke about taking ownership of the Gospel, encouraging the congregation to be sold out no matter what it costs.
