Blessed by the Family of God in the Dominican

From the Superintendent's DESK

Debbie and I, along with the DeBusks, enjoyed a Tuesday evening service with the saints at our Ingenio Quisqueya church in San Pedro de Macoris. The pastor, Gledwin Mills (see above, left to right: Edwin Gil Fillary, myself, Gledwin Mills, Tim DeBusk, and Jefry Gil Fillary), is the longest serving pastor in the Dominican Republic and also a board member. He told us that prior to the meeting, the saints had gone throughout the nearby streets announcing the service with a bullhorn and inviting people to attend. As a result, the church was filled to capacity!

Brother Mills led the congregational singing, and with so many attending, it was a joyful sound. As with Sunday’s meeting, we were happy to see many young people in the congregation. The choir provided a number of special selections throughout the service, and just before the message, did a fantastic job singing “It Is Well with My Soul.” The meeting closed with a time of prayer, and then many enjoyed visiting and a time of fellowship.

It was a wonderful blessing to be with the family of God!
