Wharton, New Jersey, Special Meetings

The 2018 Special Meetings in Wharton, New Jersey, was held from August 19-26 with the theme “Without Me, Ye Can Do Nothing” based on John 15:5. There were representatives from seven states and one from Africa.

Timothy Kaibula, our Eastern Africa District Superintendent, sent the following report about outreach efforts in the country of Burundi during the month of August:

A three-man team visited one of the Great Region areas of Burundi from August 6-31, 2018. The purpose of this missionary visit was twofold:

Hidehiro Ouchi, the pastor of our church in Kawasaki, Japan, recently sent a report about the congregation’s summer activities. His letter stated:

Thank you for your prayers for us in Japan. We are well and had blessed summer programs. Pullman Summer Outreach

The Apostolic Faith Church in Pullman, Washington, held a picnic at the park on Saturday, August 25, to welcome students back to Washington State University, and to reach out to new students. Several of the fifty-five participants had never attended a service at the church. The picnic included a devotional titled “A Proper Connection” taken from the Apostolic Faith Church website.
