Calling on the God of Comfort

From the Superintendent's DESK

Upon arriving in Nigeria from Portland a week ago, I received news of a miraculous answer to prayer for a family back home, and it was so exciting. Now, I learn that a family back home has been dealt a devastating blow which impacts all of our West Coast churches and more. It leaves many of us with heavy hearts, more questions than answers, and a responsibility to pray for those who are grieving. We really do rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep.

Today’s activities took us to Port Harcourt for a reception and evening church service, which I will report on later. During the service, I requested prayer for the family so impacted back home, and want them to know that many thousands in Nigeria join with saints around the world in appealing to God for comfort and grace.
