Thursday began with a tour of the Port Harcourt campground in Nigeria. Its facilities include a tabernacle that seats six thousand, housing units, hostels, administrative buildings, and an elementary school.

The school provides Kindergarten through sixth grade classes for about two hundred students, many of whom come from families outside our church. I enjoyed visiting the classrooms, offering the students greetings from America, and encouraging them to always live for Jesus.

Scandinavia Camp Meeting

The 2016 Scandinavia Apostolic Faith camp meeting was held at the Ognatun campground in Norway during the week of Easter, which has been a tradition for a number of years. Visitors came from England, Denmark, Ireland, Norway, and the United States. Ed Habre, who attended from Portland, Oregon, with his wife, Kim, was the guest preacher. The Scandinavian camp meeting concluded yesterday and Brother Ed Habre has sent reports about their last two days. He said Saturday’s activities included morning and evening church services and the annual Ognatun Games. The Scandinavian camp meeting is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, March 23, and several from the Portland headquarters church are expected to attend. This group includes Ed Habre who will be the guest preacher, and his wife, Kim. They arrived in Stavanger, Norway, this past Friday and were welcomed by LeRoy Tonning, the district superintendent, and his wife, Vigdis.
