Harlan Lee of Roseburg, Oregon, and Wayne Butler of Port Angeles, Washington, recently returned from Romania where they attended the annual ministers’ conference in Zadareni and also visited many of our churches in the western and southern regions of the country to encourage the saints there. John Musgrave, Director of Romania Work, and Joel Andersen of Portland, Oregon, are in Romania for a countrywide visit of our churches there. This past Sunday morning, Debbie and I, along with John and Rodica Musgrave, attended the dedication service for our church in Bucharest where Gheorghei Macovei is the pastor. The building was filled to capacity as over seventy were in attendance.

We enjoyed several music specials throughout the service including duets, solos, and numbers sung by the youth group and a ladies’ choir. All were accompanied by a keyboard and two guitars....

The Musgraves, Debbie, and I participated in another church dedication in Romania on Friday, but first we spent part of the day in Craiova, visiting the “Old Town” section of the city where the city hall, courthouse, and other government buildings are located. Debbie and I are in Romania with John Musgrave, Director of Romania Work, and his wife, Rodica, for the dedication of several churches. We arrived Tuesday afternoon in Bucharest and were greeted by Gheorghe Macovei, the Eastern Romania District Superintendent. He and his wife, Crina, became our hosts, giving us a tour of Bucharest, which has a population of about 2 million people.
