Twenty Water-baptized as UK Camp Concludes

The United Kingdom (UK) camp meeting came to a close on Sunday, July 28, after a wonderful week of God’s blessings and fellowship through various activities.

During the week, we enjoyed visiting with delegates from Belgium, France, Germany, the Republic of Ireland, Kazakstan, Nigeria, Spain, the United States, and parts of the UK including England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.

UK Camp Highlights God's Call

Debbie and I are at the Cefn Lea Christian Park in Mid-Town Wales enjoying the United Kingdom (U.K.) camp meeting. We arrived on Saturday, July 20, joining 460 others from seven countries. After settling in, we gathered in the dining room for fellowship and our first camp meeting meal–spinach chicken and white rice.

Focus of UK Camp Meeting: “Be Ready”

The theme for the United Kingdom’s 2018 camp meeting was “Be Ready,” with the key verse taken from Luke 12:40. The camp meeting was comprised of delegates from ten countries including Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Niger, Nigeria, and Ireland. It was held at our usual location, Cefn Lea Christian Centre, Mid-Wales. Most of the delegates arrived on Saturday, July 21, the day before it started.

Debbie and I, along with three hundred others, have enjoyed the United Kingdom camp meeting. This year, there was an international feel with delegates attending from several countries around the world. These included Botswana, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Nigeria, Spain, and the United States. In addition, from within the United Kingdom, delegates came from England, Scotland, and Wales.

The camp meeting finished on a high note. On Saturday the saints gathered to celebrate the ordinances of the Lord's Supper and Foot Washing. It was a great time of blessing for all.
